Diabetes Harms Sexual function, Male impotence, ED (Erectile Dysfunction) - Shoppillrx Health News

Diabetes Harms Sexual function, Male impotence, ED (Erectile Dysfunction) - Shoppillrx Health News

Don’t ever underestimate Diabetes: - Vision, hearing, Sexual function, impotence, Ed, erectile dysfunction, loss of libido - you name it, diabetes harms it

A man with Diabetes has a direct adverse effect on fertility, despite the prevailing view that diabetes has effect on male reproductive function; the condition causes DNA damage in sperm. An increase in the number of people being diagnosed with diabetes at an early age has coincided with worldwide concerns over male fertility.
Semen samples from men with diabetes who were receiving insulin therapy. Following a routine microscopic examination, the samples appeared normal, apart from a slight decrease in volume.
Spermatogenesis 20, a factor unique to the testis and whose function remains unknown, was greatly increased. Taken together, these factors indicate clearly that having diabetes has a direct influence on the health of semen.

In a set of recent focus groups, participants were asked to rank the severity of various health problems, including cancer, heart disease and diabetes.
On a scale of 1 to 10, cancer and heart disease consistently ranked as 9s and 10s. But diabetes scored only 4s and 5s. “The general consensus seems to be, ‘There’s medication,’ ‘Look how good people look with diabetes’ or ‘I’ve never heard of anybody dying of diabetes,’ “ said by the chief executive of the American Diabetes Association, which held the focus groups. But diabetes is anything but minor.
It wreaks havoc on the entire body, affecting everything from hearing and vision to sexual function, impotence, Ed, erectile dysfunction, loss of libido, mental health and sleep. It is the leading cause of blindness, amputations and kidney failure, and it can triple the risk for heart attack and stroke.“It is a disease that does have the ability to eat you alive,” said by, a professor at the University Of North Carolina School Of Medicine.
Just last week, the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the number of Americans with diabetes had grown to about 24 million, or 8 per cent of the population.
Almost 25 per cent of those aged 60 and older had diabetes in 2007. And the CDC estimates that 57 million people have abnormal blood sugar levels that qualify as pre-diabetes. To be sure, diabetes is treatable, and arrays of new medications and monitoring tools have dramatically improved the quality of care. But keeping the illness in check requires constant vigilance and expensive care, along with lifestyle changes like losing weight, exercising regularly and watching your carbohydrates.

The professor says patients who are focused on their disease and who have access to regular medical care have a good chance of living out a normal life span without developing a diabetes-related disability. But diabetes can take a toll from head to toe. In the brain, it raises the risk not only for depression but also for sleep problems and stroke. It endangers vision and dental health. This month, The Annals of Internal Medicine is reporting that the disease more than doubles the risk of hearing loss.
Moving down the body, diabetes can lead to liver and kidney disease, along with serious gastrointestinal complications like paralysis of the stomach and loss of bowel control. Last year the journal Diabetes Care reported that in a sample of nearly 3,000 patients with diabetes, 70 per cent had non-alcohol fatty liver disease.

By some estimates, 50 per cent to 80 per cent of men with diabetes suffer from erectile dysfunction, impotence, Ed, male erectile dysfunction, loss of libido. Experts say women with diabetes often lose their libidos or suffer from vaginal dryness.
The challenge for doctors is to convince patients that diabetes is a major health threat. “It’s not that we don’t want people to have hope,” he said. “We want people to understand this is serious,” said by a former executive with the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society who came to the American Diabetes Association 10 months ago. online for more information please visit : http://www.shoppillrx.com/

‘Breast Crawl’ Reduces Risk of Postpartum Bleeding in Mother - Shoppillrx Health News

‘Breast Crawl’ Breastfeeding within an hour of Birth Reduces Risk of Postpartum Bleeding in Mother - Shoppillrx Health News

Aware about the concept of ‘Breast Crawl’ Breastfeeding within an hour of birth is crucial for the child and reduces risk of postpartum bleeding in mother. UNICEF, in association with doctors, is encouraging mothers to become aware about the concept of ‘Breast Crawl’. Every newborn, when placed on the mother’s abdomen, soon after birth, has the ability to find its mother’s breast all on its own and to decide when to take the first breastfeed. This is called ‘Breast Crawl’ and helps in successful breastfeeding, better bonding between the mother and her newborn, early expulsion of the placenta (after-births) and reduced risk of post-partum bleeding in the mother after delivery.

This amazing feat by the newborn makes bonding after birth can be facilitated by following the steps given below:

Soon after birth, when the baby has cried and starts breathing well, her whole body (except the hand) is dried with a cloth, but the amniotic fluid, which was surrounding the baby in the womb, is allowed to remain on the hand.

The baby is then placed face down in between the mother's breasts. The chest of the baby and the mother is kept naked so that the baby has skin-to-skin contact with the mother.

Both could be covered with a thin sheet.Breast odour is a strong stimulus which drives the baby towards the nipple. The baby's sense of smell is well developed. The odour of a substance secreted by the nipple is similar to the smell of a substance in the amniotic fluid which was purposely left on the baby's hand as mentioned in the first point.

Nipple massage by the baby's hand makes it protract. This helps attachment. Nipple massage and loving contact with the baby also releases a hormone called Oxytocin in the mother. This helps to contract the uterus, expel the placenta and reduce the risk of bleeding in the mother after delivery.

After delivery, unless the mother is heavily sedated, the baby remains quite alert and responsive and is at her best instinctive level. Once the baby realises that food is nearby, she starts salivating. Even with her limited vision, the baby can see the areola.

The baby then reaches the nipple, raises her head and gets properly latched on to the nipple with the mouth wide open to take a mouthful of the breast, and starts suckling.

The baby starts making mouthing movements. Amniotic fluid on the baby's hands guides her towards the nipple. The baby's shoulder, hip and neck muscles are sufficiently developed, enabling her to move.

This first skin-to-skin contact is continued until the baby finishes her first breastfeed. Some babies may complete the 'Breast Crawl' in 10 minutes, others may take longer. for more infromation please visit : http://www.shoppillrx.com/

NICE NEWS - NHS Speed up Drug Approval In UK !!! - Shoppillrx Health News

NICE NEWS - NHS Speed up Drug Approval In UK !!! - Shoppillrx Health News

NHS Speed up Drug Approval In UK !!! - NICE decides what drugs the NHS should pay for. The government is to set out plans to speed up approval of drugs used in the National Health Service in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) can take up to two years to make a decision but ministers want this cut to six months. Patients will have their legal rights to drugs recommended by NICE laid out in the planned NHS constitution.
Health trusts will no longer be able to refuse drugs on cost grounds alone. The draft version of the constitution is expected to set out what patients and staff are entitled to from the NHS. This includes "fundamental principles" such as universal access to healthcare, and to drugs and treatments approved by NICE. for more information about cheap generic drugs please visit: http://www.shoppillrx.com/

Overweigth People Have Few Worry to Worry About - Shoppillrx Obesity News

Overweight People have Few Worries to Worry!!!

Becoming obese may not be so bad for people who are battling type-1 diabetes. People who put on weight over time are less likely to die than others, and those classified as underweight are at greatest risk for death, according to a study conducted at the University of Pittsburg. Even people who were technically obese are less likely to die if they had type-1 diabetes. People with the disease are often underweight, and those who are able to put on weight may also control the disease better. Weight gain can be very bad for people with type-2 diabetes, that is being driven by sedentary lifestyles.

Rates of obesity and diabetes rising across England, although people are living longer than ever, government data show.
The figures, children are seen as much more accurate than adults, because they are based on hard information about almost every school in the country, while the adult figures are extrapolated from sample surveys. This latest report comes on the back of a major study obesity sponsored by the government, which predicts that most of us would be obese by 2050.

Obesity is known to promote the health of some of the requirements, such as type 2 diabetes. Overall, prices of diabetes increased by 5.8% of the population is 8.4% between 1998 and 2004. "The fight against both type 1 and type 2 diabetes is a priority for the government," said Douglas Small, President Diabetes UK. "We currently have 2.2 million people in the UK to live in the condition and even still 750,000 who have Type 2 diabetes, but do not know, all of whom are potentially facing a year of ill health and reduced life expectancy."

Alcohol woes: Other conditions include growth in chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. This latest data shows that among females, rates for these diseases have increased above the average in Western Europe. Obesity rates in England in 2005 were the highest among the 15 countries that formed the EU before enlargement. But during the same period, life expectancy continued to increase. The little girl could expect to live 81, more than one and a half years longer than ten years earlier. Is clear, however, the north-south health divide remained. In all regions from the north midlands, life expectancy is considerably shorter than the areas south. Women in the north-east and north-west to live in more than two years less than the South East and South-West, while men live more than two and a half years less than in southern contemporaries.

Fat future: In the decade ending in 2005, which the report relates, as a percentage of obese men rose by over 40%, although the figures are starting to drop slightly last year. Share of obese women, however, rose by almost 35% and showed no signs of slowing down. Among children, it was up to more than 50%. Mortality from cancer is falling, even if the results continue to vary, depending on how a certain type of disease. And life expectancy has improved for all. Although the baby girl can now expect to live 81.2, a baby boy can expect to live 76.9, nearly 2.5 years longer than ten years preceding the 2005 statistics. for more information about the latest and advanced weight loss pill please visit http://www.shoppillrx.com/

How to Avoid Diaobesity? - Shoppillrx.com Health News

To avoid Diaobesity, What should you check? - Shoppillrx Health News

To avoid Diaobesity, What should you check?

BMI- BMI or Body Mass Index should be ideally as low as 24 (females) and 25 (males).

Check your waist circumference: Waist circumference greater than 40 inches in males and 35 inches in females indicates increased fat deposition in the abdomen. In fact, a simple measurement is, “the pinch should not be more than an inch” on your waist. This by no way means that fat around other areas is okay. If you lose weight by healthy means you will lose throughout the body.

Lipid profile: If your triglycerides are greater than 150 mg/dl and HDL cholesterol is less than 40 mg/dl in men, less than 50 in females you need to make a change in your lifestyle and eating habits.

Insulin resistance: Hyperinsulinemia, hyperglycemia (fasting blood sugar greater than 110 mg/dl) is another indicator to reduce body stress.

Elevated Blood Pressure: Along with the above stated parameters if your BP is greater or equal to 130/85 than it is time to change.

What can you do to improve your Health Quotient?

By reading the above paras, the urgency to start on a health plan may be right now. But, let your health regime be simple, realistic and individualized if it has to work. For example, if your weight is 80 or 90 kgs and your ideal weight is 50 kgs don’t try to play havoc with your body by going on a crash diet and a drastic exercise plan to reach an unrealistic goal. You will do more harm than good. Secondly, this plan will not sustain long and also remember there are many things in life that are equally or more important than losing weight. Take professional help from a person who is qualified and experienced to understand your lifestyle and will inculcate a health plan to fit your lifestyle. Make a small change, but follow it regularly. Discipline is the need of your health.
For example dedicate at least 40 minutes daily for some physical activity like brisk walking,

swimming, badminton, tennis etc. Don’t turn into a couch potato or sit glued to your computers. However exciting the serial or news or matches may be, remember the air in the open is more refreshing and your lungs just want to replace that stale oxygen with the fresh one. You will have to get physically active to get your supply.
To see the progress chart compare your present parameters from where you have started and not with any height weight charts.

Eat wisely: Increase your bank balance, not your fat balance. Eat a balanced diet with variety. Most patients who suffer from obesity, diabetes and alike also have long-term nutritional deficiency like anemia, calcium or other mineral or B complex deficiencies which can add to fatigue, depression, weak bones and muscle.

This in turn may make you less active and crave you for certain unhealthy foods. Hence, the recommendation is to improve your total health. for more information about latest and advanced weight loss and Diet pills please visit http://www.shoppillrx.com/

Diaobesity in US, UK, Japan And World-Wide!!! | Shoppillrx.com

Diaobesity in US, UK, Japan And World-Wide - Shoppillrx Concern Over Increasing Effect of Diaobesity Health

Over Increasing Effect of Diaobesity: The need for nutritional assessment and counseling has never been more pressing than it is today due to the epidemic of chronic disease such as obesity, diabetes and hypertension. When we sit at the office till impossible hours to bring home a fat pay package we also pack this disease with it. You must climb the corporate ladder; you may be software professional working at odd hours during night shifts or catching the early morning flight for a business meet or a housewife like having servants, gadgets and kitty parties to attend. We are more at a risk because of sudden and dramatic change in our living conditions. Most of our grandparents and great grandparents were, physically active, with limited income and limited food resources. Our culture and eating followed a definite pattern. Today, we like change and that too very fast space.

We like instant mixes, infact we like a Continental breakfast, for lunch and Chinese for dinner. We have confused our genes thoroughly leaving no time for it to adapt to new change. Physiologically too we are at risk. Body composition show that we have more fat than muscle. The projection is that there will be Billions of diabetics in US, UK, Japan And World-Wide in the next coming years. The situation looks grim and no seeds will do miracles to keep away diabetes, unless you get aware and improve your health quotient from today. Obesity

With 61% of the U.S. adult population is considered overweight or obese, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute has released a new practical guide to help the physician to treat obese patients. It consists of 10-a plan to help nation's 97 million obese or overweight adults lose weight and thus reduce the risk of illness or death from hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and other conditions, which are linked to overweight.

Of particular interest to those who have diabetes, this is a specific recommendation: Weight loss is recommended to lower elevated blood glucose levels are overweight and obese persons with type 2 diabetes.
In this recommendation, the experts evaluated dozens of controlled clinical trials to determine the effect of weight loss for the period of fasting blood glucose and fasting insulin levels.

They found:

* Strong evidence that weight loss produced by lifestyle modification reduces the blood glucose concentration and HbA1c in some patients with type 2 diabetes.

* Suggestive evidence that the decrease in abdominal fat, improves glucose tolerance in overweight individuals with impaired glucose tolerance, although it is not independent of weight loss.

* Limited evidence that increased cardiorespiratory fitness improves glucose tolerance in overweight individuals with impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes, although it is not independent of weight loss.

* Suggestive evidence that weight loss caused by weight loss drugs do not appear to improve blood glucose levels any better than weight loss through life style management of overweight people, or type 2 diabetes.

In preparing a new practical guide to assist doctors in treating the obese and overweight patients, the panel reviewed the relevant treatment strategies designed for weight loss. The guidelines emphasize the efficiency of the possibilities for weight control, using a number of activities and strategies, such as:

* Dietary Care - Low Calorie diet - with a deficit of 500 .. calories / day - weight loss is recommended.

* Exercise - Individuals should start a moderate activity 30-45 minutes, 3 - 5 days / week and aims to at least 30 minutes or more of moderate physical activity most, preferably all days.

* Behavior therapy - This is a useful agent when incorporated into treatment for weight loss and weight maintenance.

* Medical treatment - the use of FDA-approved weight loss drugs, in conjunction with diet and exercise, results in weight loss when used for 6 months a year.

* Weight loss surgery is an option for carefully selected patients with clinically severe obesity when less invasive methods of weight loss have failed and the patient has a high risk of obesity-related illness or death.

In addition, the panel recommended that the nutrition therapy, exercise, and behavior therapy is used in combination for maximum success. The Panel recommends these methods to promote long-term weight control and prevent weight gain as well. for more information please visit : http://www.shoppillrx.com/

Japanese Contrive To Shrink By 10% | Shoppillrx.com

The Japanese Government plans to shrink the Overweight population by 10% over the next four years. Japan wages war on Widening waistlines!!! Are you Ready to Reduce your WaistLines!!!
Japan, a country not known for its Overweight people, has undertaken one of the most ambitious campaigns ever by a nation to slim down its citizenry.Under a national law that came into effect two months ago, companies and local governments must measure the waistlines of Japanese people between the ages of 40 and 74 as part of their annual checkups. That represents more than 56 million waistlines, or about 44 per cent of the entire population.
Those exceeding government limits — 33.5 inches for men and 35.4 inches for women (Reduce inches Buy Slimona (Rimonabant), Acomplia (Rimonabant) the weight loss pills), which are identical to thresholds established in 2005 for Japan by the International Diabetes Federation as an easy guideline for identifying health risks — and suffering from a weight-related ailment will be given dieting guidance if after three months they do not lose weight.
If necessary, those people will be steered toward further re-education after six more months. To reach its goals of shrinking the overweight population by 10 per cent over the next four years and 25 per cent over the next seven years, the government will impose financial penalties on companies and local governments that fail to meet specific targets. The city had to measure at least 65 per cent of the 40- to 74-year-olds covered by public health insurance, an “extremely difficult” goal (Now reach easily to your Extremely difficult Weight loss goals at http://www.shoppillrx.com/), acknowledged Midori Noguchi, a city official. Some experts say the government’s guidelines on everything from waistlines to blood pressure are so strict that meeting, or exceeding, those targets will be impossible. They say that the government’s real goal is to shift health care costs onto the private sector.
The country’s Ministry of Health argues that the campaign will keep the spread of diseases like diabetes and strokes in check. The ministry also says that curbing widening waistlines will rein in a rapidly aging society’s ballooning health care costs, one of the most serious and politically delicate problems facing Japan today.
Most Japanese are covered under public health care or through their work. Anger over a plan that would make those 75 and older pay more for health care recently brought a parliamentary censure motion against Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, the first against a prime minister in the country’s postwar history. But critics say that the government guidelines -- especially the one about male waistlines — are simply too strict and that more than half of all men will be considered overweight.
The effect, they say, will be to encourage over-medication and ultimately raise health care costs. In Amagasaki, a city in western Japan, officials have moved aggressively to measure waistlines in what the government calls special checkups.
