The risk of coronary disease increases if fever lasts for more than two weeks and if there is recurrence of fever after a fever-free period. TREATMENT of KAWASAKI DISEASE
Hospitalisation is advised for these children. Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG given through the vein) and aspirin is the mainstay of treatment.
